Luc’s close encounters of the ovine variety went so well yesterday that I threw him into the deep end today — three sessions in the barn and one with the ewes in the winter pasture. He’s continuing to do well, but this was the result:
I’ve often advised friends who are new to the dog thing that the best way to tire a pup is to make him think, but it seems I forgot what a powerful effect it can be. Luc spent so much effort trying to process his new relationship to the sheep that he trudged through morning and evening walks, and by the time we got in for the night, he was completely used up.
